Description: Shrub to 30–40 cm high with erect or ascending branches; stems terete, ridged, densely hairy.

Leaves alternate, rarely opposite, linear to ± elliptic, 3–15 mm long, usually 1–1.5 mm wide, margins ± revolute; petiole short or absent.

Flowers solitary; peduncles usually 3–6 mm long. Sepals 2.5–4 mm long, ± crenate towards apex. Petals 6–15 mm long, deep lilac-pink. Ovary hairy or glabrous; ovules 2.

Fruit depressed-globose, 4–5 mm long; seeds c. 4 mm long.

Flowering: mostly September–November

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in heath and dry sclerophyll forest on sandstone; in the Warrumbungle Mtns and scattered from Putty district to the Nowra area.
