Description: Procumbent or ascending herb, stems to 60 cm high; vegetative parts densely white-hairy with long, short, and hooked simple hairs.
Leaves 1- or 3-foliolate, leaflets variable, oblong to ± circular, usually 10–30 mm long, 8–25 mm wide, base rounded to cordate, apex variable, usually mucronate, upper surface scabrous, lower surface whitish-pubescent, prominently reticulatly veined; lateral leaflets when present smaller than terminal leaflet; petiole 5–30 mm long; lateral petiolules 1–3 mm long; terminal petiolules 3–20 mm long; stipules 4–8 mm long; stipels 2–5 mm long.
Inflorescences 2–6 cm long, densely flowered; bracts persistent; 6–8 mm long, densely hairy. Calyx 4–8 mm long. Corolla 5–7 mm long, reddish to violet. Ovary 2-ovuled.
Pod a loment with 1 or 2 articles, each c. 4 mm long, 3 mm wide; ± glabrous.
Flowering: summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Usually in sclerophyll forest; recorded from the Casino district.
