Description: Climbing annual herb; stems to 50 cm long, sparsely pubescent.

Leaves 4.5–7 cm long; leaflets 10–20, linear to elliptic, 8–12 mm long, 1–4.5 mm wide, apex ± truncate, mucronate; stipules 2.5–4 mm long, mostly entire.

Flowers 3–8 per raceme; peduncle c. 4 cm long. Calyx 2–3 mm long, teeth unequal. Corolla 4–5 mm long, mauve.

Pod oblong, c. 12–20 mm long, 3–8 mm wide, brown, glabrous; seeds 2, ± globose, 2 mm wide.


Flowering: spring.

Distribution and occurrence: Uncommon, only recorded from Canberra district. Native of SW Eur.
