Description: Shrub 1–4 m high.

Leaves in whorls of 3; lamina lanceolate to ± linear, 20–60 mm long, 3–5 mm wide, length to breadth ratio 7–15, margins entire and usually slightly recurved; both surfaces sparsely to very sparsely hairy or glabrous; petiole 1–4 mm long.

Bracteoles 3.8–5.5 mm long. Calyx green, outer surface sparsely hairy or glabrous; tube 3–3.5 mm long; lobes narrow-triangular, 5–5.5 mm long, 1–1.3 mm wide; lobe to tube ratio 1.6–1.8. Corolla c. 10 mm long, very pale mauve to almost white, with brown dots.

Flowering: throughout year.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in wet sclerophyll forest, often near creeks or waterfalls on edge of rainforest; north from the Lismore district.
