Westringia kydrensis B.J.Conn APNI*

Description: Erect shrub to 0.4 m high.

Leaves in whorls of 3; lamina elliptic to slightly obovate, 5–8 mm long, 2–3.5 mm wide, length to breadth ratio 2.2–3.3; margins entire, more or less flat although lamina often slightly recurved; both surfaces sparsely hairy to glabrescent, moderately hairy on new young leaves; petiole 0.5–1 mm long.

Bracteoles 3–3.5 mm long. Calyx green or maroon; outer surface moderately hairy; tube 2.5–3.2 mm long; lobes broad-triangular, 1.5–2.1 mm long, 1–1.4 mm wide; lobe to tube ratio 0.3–0.4. Corolla 8–12 mm long, white with purplish to brownish dots.

Flowering: Flowers August–November

Distribution and occurrence: Rare, only known from Kydra Reefs (SE of Cooma), Southern Tablelands.

Grows in heath in rocky granite or quartzite areas.
