Field Characters: Large canopy tree (28 m high) or Small sub-canopy tree; Bole cylindrical (c. 40 cm diam.); straight (bole c. 20 m high); buttresses buttresses absent; spines spines absent; aerial roots aerial roots absent; stilt roots stilt roots absent; Bark brown, rough, pustular, lenticels elongated vertically; Subrhytidome (under-bark) brown; less than 25 mm thick, 10.0; bark blaze consisting of one layer; faintly to non-aromatic; outer blaze red, with stripes, fibrous; inner blaze red, with stripes, fibrous; bark exudate (sap) present, red, flowing, colour not changing on exposure to air, not sticky (watery); terminal buds not enclosed by leaves.
Indumentum: Complex hairs present (Check!); stinging hairs absent; mature twig indumentum (hairs) present, hairs dense.
Leaves: Leaves spaced along branches, spiral (leaves occurring singly at a node and arranged spirally up the branchlet), simple (a leaf composed of a single blade); petiole present, not winged, attached to base of leaf blade, not swollen; leaves broadest below middle, 11.0-19.0 cm, 5.5-10.0 cm; symmetric, entire, not dissected or lobed, obtuse, venation pinnate, secondary veins open, prominent, intramarginal veins absent; leaves lower surface pale green or red (greenish caused by presence of reddish hairs), upper surface dull green, indumentum (hairs) present, indumentum (hairs) somewhat dense; absent; domatia absent; stipules absent.
Flowers: Inflorescence axillary, flowers single, cones absent.
Fruits: Infrutescence single, fruit 65.0 (c. immature) mm long, 40.0 (c.) mm diam., reddish brown, not spiny, fleshy, simple, indehiscent, drupe; seeds 1, much more than 10 mm long (40 mm long), not winged, broad (as wide as long), seed more than 10 mm diam. (25 mm diam.).
